Welcome to Family Partnership Charter School!

Family Partnership Charter School is a WASC Accredited, direct-funded Independent Study Charter School, sponsored by the Blochman Union School District. Family Partnership Charter School serves students in grades K-12 that reside in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties using a personalized approach to learning.

Family Partnership Charter School programs offer non-classroom based instruction through learning centers that focus on Independent/Home Study, Project-Based Learning, Montessori Methods, and the Academy of Classical Education approach. Through all programs, a partnership between the school, advisor, parent, and student are built to support student learning.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Family Partnership Home Study Charter School is to develop and implement a comprehensive framework to enable and support parents from a wide variety of educational levels to educate students in a K-12 home study environment.


The Charter School develops a full partnership with parents, students, faculty, staff, and community based organizations to fulfill this mission. The goal is to develop a “complete” student with academic tools, social skills, self-esteem, and character to succeed in school and life.
